As time goes by, the harms from things become smaller. Your happiness seemed to count on other's words and actions when you were young. Implite words might leave a huge scarf in your heart; A fight with your lover made you sad to death; Every single little unfortune thing was like a big disaster.
But as time goes by, your character gradually becomes comeposed. You settled a life inside your mind which makes you not to be influnced too much by outside things. You learn the accomplishment of wisdom. You can bear the things that used to be a big problem without any tears. Years by years, life will pay you back. The childhood flowers languish, and the beauty are gone, yet the deep hurts in mind will disappear.

As time goes on things hurt you less. When you were young your happiness depends so much from day to day, on what people do and say. A word unkind will leave you smart; lovers' quarrels break the heart, and all lifes small catastrophes seem like calamities.
As time goes on you grow a hide, protected from the world outside; an inner life you cultivatethat nobody can violet. And so you learned philosophy. Things that once meant mistery you accept without a tear. Life compensates you year by year. Youth's bloom may pass; its beauties wane, but so does its anguish and its pain.
